Im Steven D. Thompson III or Detail Kid.  2023 has been an EPIC year in January i went to Mobile Tech Expo in Orlando Florida and took my exams with the (IDA) International Detailers Association and passed.  This made me the Youngest (CD) Certified Detailer in the world at the age of 11.  At the end of February i went to Laguna Hills California, and trained with Rigo Santana (USA SONAX Master Trainer) (RIT) Recognized Independent Trainer with the IDA, and Founder of New Generation Detailers. 

 

I passed my (SV) Skills Validated hands-on test and became the youngest Skills Validated Detailer in the World at the age of 12, just two days after my birthday.  I also earned my SONAX Authorized Detailer Certification as well.  I am very proud of my recent accomplishments but especially being a certified member of New Generation Detailers a worldwide group of Professional Detailers where I am one of several Professional Detailers from around the U.S. and Beyond.   This group is now my extended family whom i can go to with advice both work-related or personal. Once my training was complete i went to Los Angeles with the New Generation Detailers/SONAX Preservation Detailing Team to Detail some of the most Iconic vehicles in the World, including:

 

• Henry Fords 1952 Ferrari 212 Barchetta Roadster 1 of 1 made by Enzo Ferrari as a gift for Henry Ford II  

• Metallica's   (James Hetfields)  1936 Auburn Slow Burn  

• Steve McQueens 1932 Jaguar XKSS  

• 1967 Ford GT 40 Mark III  

• Tom Selleck's  Magnum PI Ferrari
